• Introduction to function notation aims to familiarise students with f(x) and looks at substitution of values. • Inverse functions includes rearranging formulae starter, differentiated main task and plenary where students need to create and assess their own exam questions.

• Composite functions starts by looking at function machines so students have a visual representation of the method, then moves onto the algebraic side.
