Two lessons included here:

• The first lesson includes several examples on deriving linear expressions and equations, then solving or simplifying them. The main task is made up of 10 exam questions in the form of a treasure hunt. The plenary requires students to apply what they have learnt about typical exam questions to create their own questions and mark schemes.

• Differentiated lesson that starts with forming expressions and moves into solving equations, including factorising quadratics. Up to you where to start and where to stop!
